Armadale Salmon Fishing is a family firm based in Bettyhill, a small village on the north coast of Scotland. Owner James Mackay has built up the fishery over the past 25 years and the company is now entering it's third generation of the family. The team consists of family and local crew. In 2002, Armadale Salmon Fishing was one of many Scottish fisheries featured in a DVD titled “Netting Scotland’s King of Fish”, which is about the history of Scottish wild salmon fishing industry. |
The Salmon & Grilse we catchThe fish we catch are of a pristine condition and quality. Our traditional fishing techniques ensure the fish can swim around within the net until they are caught. This approach guarantees the fish do not end up with net marks, bruising or scaling. Freshness is ensured by quickly preserving the fish in ice. Generally, like most of the fishing industry, we sell fish based on their weight grade. The grading varies from 1Kg up to 10Kg. The fish is carefully packed in polystyrene fish boxes and dispatched daily by refrigerated lorry to markets all over the UK and Ireland. |
Wild Armadale SalmonLocal smokehouses and customers can also buy our product direct. It's important to remember, legal netting companies such as Armadale Salmon Fishing, are the only source to purchase Wild Salmon in the UK. It's illegal to purchase rod caught Salmon. Read More About Our History |
